On March, 2019, we released an update (Version 1.2: 9 March 2019) of the toolbox as well as an update of the Mac and Windows installation packages. The toolbox had to be updated in order to be consistent with the new version of gnuplot on macOS Mojave installed through homebrew, which doesn’t feature a wxt terminal anymore. Users for which the current installation of Fortran and the toolbox do work fine will not need to update anything. Users who want to install or update Fortran on macOS Mojave should use the new installation routines. If you already have a version of our Fortran compiler and routines installed on your Mac and recently updated to macOS Mojave, we suggest to first run the file
uninstall_fortran.command in order to uninstall all Fortran routines from your system. Once your current Fortran package was removed, run the file
install_fortran.command and follow the standard installation instructions. The new toolbox is automatically included in the Fortran installation routines.
We also released an update (Version 1.2: 9 March 2019) of the Windows Fortran installation package. In this package we updated
- cygwin to its latest stable version 3.0.3
- gnuplot to its latest stable version 5.2.6
- geany to its latest stable version 1.34.1
There is no urgent need to update your system. However, if you want to do so, go to the Compiler section and download the latest Windows installation package. IMPORTANT: Once you unpacked the installation package, first run the file
uninstall_fortran.bat. This will remove the current Fortran release as well as any other additional software from your computer. Once your current Fortran package was removed, run the file
install_fortran.bat and follow the standard installation instructions.
