    Hi all,

I was wondering which time profiler is recommended. I tried to use the time profiler in Xcode on Mac. But it doesn’t work very well. Any advice is very appreciated!

    Dear Zijie,

this is a great question and unfortunately I don’t have an answer. On Windows and Linux you can use gprof after compiling your code with the -pg statement, see e.g. here.

Unfortunately, there is no good solution to do this on a Mac. The best workaround is probably to create a Docker image with gfortran and gprof installed and just run your code there for profiling.

Sorry for not having a better answer to this. I appreciate any other suggestions.

    All the best,
    Fabian
